Bold Native Receives Bold Reviews

by Nicoal Sheen, Band of Mercy co-founder

On June 16, the much anticipated Bold Native premiered at the Crest Theatre in Los Angeles. As the crowds lined up to purchase tickets, people anxiously awaited for what was to be revealed on the big screen.

Bold Native is a story of inspiration and truth.

The main character Charlie Cranehill (played by Joaquin Pastor) encompasses everything we hope for in a hero, and reminds us that the actual people acting for animals under the name of the Animal Liberation Front (A.L.F) are just that -- real people acting for animals.

The film not only humanizes the A.L.F but our own personal limits of what we accept as "appropriate" in order to achieve animal liberation are pushed. Hennelly and Suchan capture the passion and urgency for animal liberation and beget the question: How far are you willing to go for the animals?

Band of Mercy gives Bold Native two thumbs up and cannot wait until the DVD release. Until then, "we've got some trouble to start".
